Edward Patten I was a member of the legendary group, Gladys Knight and the Pips with his cousins William Guest, Merald “Bubba” Knight, and Gladys Knight. Edward had an incredible range and could sing high tenor as well as bass. He was also the most responsible and often thought of as being the Daddy of the group.

In 1996, Edward along with cousin and best friend William Guest, best friend Alfred “Butch” Burch, and close buddy Lou Wilson started Crew Entertainment, formally Crew Records. Edward passed away in 2005 leaving his legacy of music for his family and friends to continue growing. He is missed everyday but forever lives in the hearts of his loved ones.
